The Cubs were close to tying things up in the 7th inning tonight, as Jorge Soler slapped the ball up the middle with runners on first and second with two outs.
And then this happened:
What do you even say? That was a ridiculously good play, in a huge spot. He pulled it off. Well done.
And, for the record, the behind-the-back flip was entirely necessary to get that out. And Eugenio Suarez made a hell of an adjustment to grab that ball with his bare hand and then make it to the bag.
Damn.
Just such a good play. Sigh.
