2015 MLB Postseason Schedule is Out, Mark Your Calendars

Chicago Cubs

It’s relevant!

So, if the Cubs play in the NL Wild Card Game, that will be on Wednesday, October 7 on TBS. The NLDS then follows on Friday, October 9, Saturday, October 10, Monday, October 12, Tuesday, October 13 (if necessary), and Thursday, October 15 (if necessary).

That means whoever starts the Wild Card Game will realistically be able to appear in Game 3 of the NLDS, but not Games 1, 2, 4, or 5 (unless pitching out of the bullpen, or unless not starting Game 3 … which I’m pretty sure you’re going to want your Wild Card starter pitching in the NLDS as soon as possible). The odd spacing for the rest of the series would require the Game 1 starter to go again on short rest for Game 4 if the team was looking to use only three starters in the series.

Hopefully those kinds of machinations come up for the Cubs this year.

The World Series once again spills over into November, and, with Games 3, 4, and 5 in the NL Park, I’m going to go ahead and celebrate my birthday on November 1 at Wrigley Field as the Cubs clinch a 4-1 World Series victory.
