I often think that Joe Maddon must feel like a kid in a candy store when he reviews his roster options this September, and is charged with coming up with the day’s lineup. So many tasty options.
Tonight’s Snickers includes an overload of righties to face lefty Adam Morgan:

Every single batter Morgan will face will bat from the right-handed side, with the exception of Anthony Rizzo … who crushes lefties. That can’t be a welcome sight for the 25-year-old rookie who is currently yielding a .278/.325/.516 line against righties.
As I said in the Series Preview, this is the big leagues, and you can never assume something specific is going to happen in a given game. But, man, it’s impossible not to like this match-up for the Cubs (especially with Jake Arrieta on the mound). Just hope that the rain holds off.
