Not to be Scoreboard Watching in a Pre-Gamin’, but the Cardinals lost again today. Twice. Just sayin’.
Dan Haren will look to follow up his excellent outing in St. Louis against the much less formidable Phillies. Due to inclement weather in the area, the Cubs are moving their bullpen day to tonight, and bumping Haren to tomorrow. Makes a lot of sense, because if a guy is going to start and then have to stop, you’d rather it was a reliever. I’m not sure if the Phillies are going to change up their lineup in response.
Like Alec Asher before him, Jerad Eickhoff has made only a handful of big league starts with the Phillies since coming over in trade from the Rangers.
Addison Russell gets the night off, with Javy Baez picking up a start at shortstop and Tommy La Stella’s lefty bat sliding in at second.
