[adinserter block=”2″]We know that Dan Vogelbach, who was added to the 40-man roster this offseason, is a fantastic all-around hitter. We also know that he has tremendous raw power that hasn’t yet entirely translated in-game.
Hopefully, this is the year that the power really explodes for Vogelbach, who will likely play most of the year at AAA Iowa, and, candidly, may eventually be dealt to an organization that can more easily use him down the road as a first baseman or a DH.
For now, he started showing the power this spring, blasting a deep drive to center field yesterday against the Reds (h/t @ballskwok):

For an untelevised game, that’s as good as you’ll get on video, and I’ll totally take it.
Vogelbach has seen a great deal of action already this spring as one of the team’s primary DHs, hitting .214/.353/.500 over 17 plate appearances.
