I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves), and on Snapchat – for 39 hours straight, until slightly past MLB’s August 1 non-waiver Trade Deadline, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS, etc.), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.
That was an eventful morning, eh?

News and Rumors Since the Last Check-In:
There’s actually some stuff I haven’t been able to get to yet – but will! – including a couple reliever trades involving the Cardinals, White Sox, Yankees, and Diamondbacks, but I also had to do the Bullets, and keep updating the Jonathan Lucroy drama.
Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:
The Lucroy drama, of course! Huge deals are always fun, but for me, there’s nothing I enjoy more this time of year – as a fan – than the will-they-won’t-they-WHAT’S-HAPPENING type drama.[adinserter block=”1″]
Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:
Not to keep making it all about Lucroy, but obviously that’s what’s on everyone’s lips right now. No, I still don’t think he’ll make more sense for the Cubs than several other teams out there (i.e., other teams should be willing to pay much more in trade), but it’s worth following wherever he winds up, because there’s Cubs-related fallout no matter what.

This stretch came from a few places, including the Lake:

Strangest Thought Passing Through My Mind:
The walking … is going to be a challenge. Not so much the walking, itself, because I’m in reasonably good shape. The walking, with the heat, with the tiredness that’s going to come tonight. It’s one thing to pull an all-nighter, but it’s another thing entirely when you’re physically drained. I’m going to have to be a little careful today.
A Selection of #BNBlogathon Tweets:
Not gonna lie, the @BleacherNation #BNBlogathon feels like march madness or Christmas Day.
