Questions surrounding Kyle Schwarber’s defense may persist well into his career, but lately, he’s been doing his best to make those questions look awfully silly.
Just the other night, for one example, Schwarber flashed some leather as he went head over heels into the Wrigley stands to make a catch. And today, he showed off his arm, by throwing out Carlos Gonzalez at the plate:

At the time, the play saved an important run … though the Rockies scored a few more thereafter, when Schwarber missed a diving play in shallow center. Now, let’s see if he can contribute with his bat, too, because the Cubs could sure use some runs.
