From Start to Finish: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Process Behind the Draft (VIDEO)
We’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the folks at Cubs Productions have been creating incredible video packages all season.
Whether they are small, light-hearted moments, or deeper, behind-the-scenes features, I really enjoy seeing another side to the organization. It doesn’t hurt that the videos themselves are so well made, too.
The latest is a fantastic, deeply-produced look at the scouting and drafting process, with so much great information and helpful context for what the process – the life-blood of the organization – is really like. It also reminds just how much goes into doing what it is that the Cubs organization does, and how much personal sacrifice is involved by folks whose names you probably don’t know.
We tracked the draft last week on each of its three days, but obviously there’s so much more that happens the other 362 days of the year.
