If you live in or are traveling to the path of the total eclipse, then there may be a minor league game near you. Seven minor league team have home games today in that narrow band, and all seven of them are planning eclipse related events. Bowling Green and Nashville are the closest total eclipse baseball towns to the Midwest.
Those just want to be hang out at a baseball game during a pretty cool partial eclipse do have one Cubs’ game available. South Bend starts playing in Lansing at 12:05, and I’m pretty sure there should still be some portion of the sun blocked while that game is played. Just don’t try to look at the sun to see how blocked it is. That would be bad. Look at the sun too long and you’ll never see another baseball game again.
