A couple Cubs regulars went deep today against the Rockies, and I say that’s enough for us to have a mini Spring Training-style Homer Party.
Anthony Rizzo tied things up for the Cubs in the 3rd inning with his second homer of the spring, a yank shot to right (the feed camera was apparently just a bit off today, but hey, I’ll still gladly take it):

The camera doesn’t follow, but as you can hear Mick Gillispie describe the ball just evading the outfielder’s outstretched glove, I am imagining right fielder Jordan Patterson openly weeping. You can’t prove he wasn’t!
The next inning, Ian Happ continued his BARRAGE of dingers, knocking his fourth already on the Spring:

As we noted in the Miscellany, Happ is just destroying the Cactus League again:
With another homer (his 4th), a double, and a single today, Ian Happ's spring slash line is up to .471/.500/1.294. That's a 1.794 OPS. LOL. pic.twitter.com/RmiUm49Y4w

Not that Rizzo is slacking, by the way – in his small Spring sample, he’s up to .417/.500/1.000.
