[With apologies, no Bullets today. The early-morning Miscellany plus the time change plus abundant kid needs today means I was not able to make it happen. Can we still be friends?]
A day after going with a “pro” lineup in their split-squad games yesterday, Joe Maddon is having some more fun today.
Here are the lineup from yesterday, if you didn’t see what the Cubs did:

The joke/serious point was apparently all about having “pro” at bats, and making a “pro” play in the field, etc. (Cubs.com).
And today it’s the “piece” lineup:

Whatever works, eh? I’m guessing it’s just a play on the way “piece” is sometimes appended to baseball items like a “slide-piece.”
From the two days, I’ll take Protini, Yo-Pro, Solpiece, and Co-Piece as my favorites. (That last one is utility man Ryan Court, if you were wondering who that is playing shortstop today.)
