Ugh. I almost forgot about late-night, West-coast games.
Tonight, the San Francisco Giants will host the Chicago Cubs at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, Arizona. Apparently that means they have to start the game like it’s a San Francisco night game. Righty Chris Stratton will be going for the Giants, and the Cubs will counter with Jose Quintana.
This will likely be Quintana’s second-to-last start, before taking the ball in the fourth game against the Marlins when the regular season begins. Tonight’s contest should be available on MLB.TV (Giants stream), as well as MLB Network, and on the radio at 670 The Score (extra points if you’re staying up late and listening to this one).
As for the lineups, it’s all regulars tonight, but Kyle Schwarber and Ian Happ are both taking breaks, in favor of Ben Zobrist (left field, leading off) and Albert Almora (center field, batting eighth).
