The Cubs lost last night in a fairly nondescript, didn’t-get-timely-hits, didn’t-get-blown-out kind of way. OK. Fine.
One fun thing happened, though, as Javy Baez beat out an infield hit on a diving attempt by Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor. As soon as Baez reached first base, he made sure to let Lindor – his good friend – know that it wasn’t happening:

That’s just fun stuff. Also, a heckuva play by Lindor to make it close, and also some speedy running by Baez to ensure he got that hit.
