This series has gone … poorly. And it could get a lot worse.
With the Cubs going to a bullpen day today, and then tomorrow’s starter up in the air (possibly Tyler Chatwood while awaiting his baby), there’s no guarantee that the Cubs will win today or tomorrow, even against the Reds. The last two nights certainly demonstrated that.
Luke Farrell gets the ball to start this one, and the Cubs will hope he can make it through a few clean innings before the rest of the bullpen takes over.
Of course, if the bats can really, really get to Anthony DeSclafani, the bullpen day gets a lot better.
