Aaron Nola, who is quite good, was working on a streak of six straight strikeouts when Daniel Murphy came to the plate in the top of the third inning. And he got Murphy to two strikes. But that’s as far as it typically gets with Murphy.
He didn’t crush it (96.6 mph off the bat, 367 feet), but he got around on an elevated pitch and sent it where it’s easy enough to get it out:
