The Cubs’ bats were offered a great many opportunity to score long before the 7th inning. They declined to indulge.
So it was quite a relief to see Ian Happ get a meatiest of meatballs with a couple runners on, and FINALLY someone did something truly bad to a pitch like that:

Although it wasn’t a monster shot, Happ hit that one almost as perfectly as possible: 109.8 mph, 22 degrees, 98% hit probability. He barreled the crap out of it.
