Later today, Yu Darvish and the Cubs will host the Texas Rangers at Sloan Park. The game will not be televised (is it just me or does it feel like fewer games are this year?), but Brett will be at the park and should be able to provide some solid visuals via @BleacherNation on Twitter.
The Cubs lineup is loaded with regulars today, including Anthony Rizzo as the DH. In his place at first, you’ll find Victor Caratini, the de facto leading back-up catcher candidate for the 2019 season. Indeed, part of Caratini’s value is his switch-hitting and multi-positional capabilities. It makes for a much more dynamic bench, when the Cubs are caring eight relievers, which is most of the time.
The game starts at 3:05 CT – go Cubs.
