Like last night, the Chicago baseball team took a 1-0 lead on the very first pitch they saw, but ultimately lost the game.

Although Jon Lester was not at his best, he nevertheless came just one out shy of a quality start. That, together with a solid night from the bullpen, was enough to bring home the mini-series-split against the White Sox thanks primarily to Willson Contreras’s big night at the plate.
Oh, and Eloy Jimenez did not kill the Cubs tonight! That’s a win! And the Cubs are shockingly back in first place.
