Good news on the Yu Darvish front, as the Cubs’ likely ace is down for the count with flu-like symptoms, but he doesn’t actually have the flu.
Darvish developed a cough this week, and since he wanted to be absolutely certain he wasn’t seriously sick – including the coronavirus – he went ahead to the hospital to get tests done and get treatment as needed. Smart man, thinking about himself and also his teammates.
The good news is that it seems like he’s gonna be fine, and, moreover, he could be back and throwing within a day or two:
Theo on Darvish: “My understanding is they think it’s just a daily illness. He should be fine tomorrow.” He could miss only one day if he’s OK Friday.
