Well, the Cubs dropped the first half of their double-header today and with an off-day tomorrow, that makes this second game that much more important. For our own sanity, Cubs, please win. Here’s how David Ross will line them up for the finale.
Chicago Cubs Lineup:
1. Ian Happ, CF
2. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
3. Javy Baez, SS
4. Kyle Schwarber, LF
5. Willson Contreras, C
6. Jason Heyward, RF
7. Victor Caratini, C
8. David Bote, 3B
9. Jason Kipnis, 2B
With an off-day tomorrow, David Ross is sticking with most of his regulars in this one, despite their participating in Game 1. Among the notable difference is Willson Contreras and Victor Caratini swapping positions, David Bote entering in place of Nico Hoerner, and Jason Kipnis moving down in the lineup.
Other than that, everything’s just about the same.
Ian Happ continues to play the role of leadoff man and has been on base six times (including two homers) in nine chances since taking over last night.
We’ll have your Pre-Gamin post just before game time (5:05 CT).
