We could probably squabble about what exactly the Cubs best nine looks like on any given day, but I’d bet we’d all end up pretty darn close to what we see above (against righties). And with just 24 games left in the season, it’s time to really focus on winning every single game.

The opposing starter today, JT Brubaker, is in his rookie season and thus doesn’t have many innings to analyze, but in his 20 innings of work, lefties have crushed him relative to righties, so keep that in mind today with Ian Happ, Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Schwarber, Jason Heyward, Victor Caratini, and Jason Kipnis in the lineup.
