Cardinals lefty Kwang Hyun Kim was supposed to start Sunday’s tilt against the Cubs (game 4 of this five-game series), but he was taken to the emergency room earlier today with abdominal soreness, eventually being diagnosed with a kidney ailment of some kind.
The Cardinals rotation plans have been blown up in the process:
Dakota Hudson pushed back to Sunday. Today's Game 2 will be a bullpen day. Poof goes pitching plan for #stlcards https://t.co/7XkFPVSy1a

Instead of starting the second game today, Dakota Hudson is being pushed to tomorrow in place of Kim, while the bullpen plans to take over the second-half of the Saturday double-header (the Cubs are doing the same thing).
With that said, the Cardinals were already forced to use a lot of their bullpen yesterday after the Cubs chased Jack Flaherty early, so aside from the obvious concern we all share for Kim (who is doing better by the way), this is a relative disaster for the Cardinals staff.
The Cardinals have activated Andrew Miller, though:
We have activated LHP Andrew Miller from the 10-day Injured List and placed LHP Kwang Hyun Kim on the 10-day IL, retroactive to September 2.
