I like the way Bryan put it on Twitter. I don’t care what you try to do, there’s no stopping top Cubs prospect Brennen Davis right now:
They tried to cool Brennen down by scheduling a couple off days. They failed. He lines a single to left. The Triple-A batting average ticks to .440

Back-to-back off-days for Davis and the Iowa Cubs? No problem. He’ll just do even more damage tonight now that they’re back on the field.
Sure enough, just after that single, Davis did the other thing he’s been doing all season – he hit another dinger:
Brennen Davis…YOU. ARE. RIDICULOUS!!
The outfielder just hit his fourth home run in his seventh Triple-A game to give us a 4-0 lead over St. Paul. pic.twitter.com/iHZW93wSqV

That’s already FOUR homers for Davis in just seven games at Iowa. He is finishing the season on a tear. Even more of a tear than, well, the whole rest of his fiery season.
