Monday’s Home Run Derby features a field of eight sluggers, or, well, at least seven sluggers and one former slugger.
It’s always one of my favorite events of the year, and this year’s bracket was just released:
Kyle Schwarber against Albert Pujols in the first round. Delicious. I cannot possibly see that going well for Pujols, and I cannot wait to watch.
Meanwhile, it’s going to be really fun to see Julio Rodriguez in the event, but it’s a little bit of a bummer that Pete Alonso and Ronald Acuña Jr. are facing each other in the first round. I might’ve otherwise had them both getting pretty deep.
I’m gonna say Schwarber over Pujols, Soto over Ramirez, Alonso over Acuña, Rodriguez over Seager. Then I’ll go Schwarber over Soto, and Alonso over Rodriguez. And then Schwarber wins it.
What do you have?
