If you can believe it, the Cubs actually have to play a baseball game tonight, and they’ll do it with Ian Happ manning left field and Willson Contreras in the two-hole. Unbelievable.
Today was a surprising, but emotionally draining series of events (especially after the last month of rumors), and I’m really ready to just get back to baseball. Even if the Cubs aren’t very good.
At least the Cardinals don’t have Juan Soto in their starting lineup.
