David Kaplan and Thomas Ian Nicholas Are Coming to the BN Live Event!

Chicago Cubs

Are you coming to the Bleacher Nation Live Event? In case you missed the news, we’re doing a live event in Wrigleyville on April 6. It’s our first time ever trying this and I really hope you come!

From 5-9pm, Brett, Luis, Patrick, Eli, Tab, Bryan and I will be at HVAC pub, where we’ll talk Bears, we’ll talk Cubs, we’ll enjoy some live music and a lot more. Tickets are $25 and include one drink, some food, and access to the entire event. It’s going to be awesome.

But if the BN Gang isn’t enough to get you there, maybe some of our special guests will help. By now, you should already know that Thomas Ian Nicholas (and his band!), who’ll you recognize from Rookie of the Year and American Pie, will be there to talk about his experience in one of my all-time favorite baseball movies …

… But I’ve got another special guest to announce: DAVID KAPLAN!

The King of Chicago Sports Radio is joining Brett, Bryan, and I on our Cubs panel, chopping it up about the season and answering whatever questions you may have.

Like most of you, I’ve known Kaplan – from a distance – from his many, many years on the Chicago sports scene. But I got to know him personally from my time on our (short-lived) NBC Sports Chicago postgame show “Outside the Ivy.” And let me tell you, there is no nicer or harder working guy out there. Kaplan is always good for his scorching hot takes, but this guy grinds more than anybody I’ve ever seen. And again, despite his elevated platform, he is so unbelievably gracious and humble.

I’ve asked him for a dozen favors over the years, and he never turns me down. And I am so incredibly grateful he agreed to join us for our live event. So please, get a ticket, and come out to see us! We have such a great community here and I would love another opportunity to talk to you guys all in person.
