Cubs Walk It Off! Nico Hoerner Drives in Nick Madrigal!!!
We may or may not like how it got to the bottom of the 10th inning, but if you’re going to be there, you sure as heck want it to end that way! Cubs win 3-2!
After Keegan Thompson wriggled his way out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the 10th, Nick Madrigal played mini-hero (no pun intended) in the bottom of the frame. He was subbed in as the free runner, and he stole third base because the pitcher was simply not paying sufficient attention. It was ballsy, and it was key.
