Triple-A Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs defeated the Indianapolis Indians in 11 innings with a score of 8-7. Cade Horton had a strong start, pitching five innings and allowing two runs on four hits. Miles Mastrobuoni had an RBI groundout to score Alexander Canario and end the game. Several players, including BJ Murray Jr., David Bote, Alexander Canario, and Pete Crow-Armstrong, made notable offensive contributions. However, left fielder Brennen Davis left the game due to an undisclosed injury and will be evaluated by the training staff today.

Double-A Tennessee Smokies
The Tennessee Smokies defeated the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 6-5. Kyle McGowin pitched an impressive game, taking a no-hitter into the fifth inning and giving up just one hit and no runs over his seven-inning start.
Michael Arias struggled, giving up five runs on five hits over just two-thirds of an inning. Blake Whitney replaced Arias and ultimately got the win after Tennessee scored three runs in the top of the ninth. All of the Smokies’ runs came from three-run home runs by Haydn McGeary and Josh Rivera. Luis Verdugo also had a strong performance, going 3-for-4 and scoring twice.

High-A South Bend Cubs
The South Bend Cubs were defeated by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers by a score of 4-2. Nick Hull started the game and took the loss, allowing four runs on four hits over four innings, two of which were unearned. Hull struck out five, walked three, and hit one batter. South Bend had five hits in the game, with first baseman Jonathon Long contributing three of them, going 3-for-3 with a walk. Shortstop Jefferson Rojas went 1-for-3 with a walk and scored both of the Cubs’ runs.

Low-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans
