The Nets struggled to a 32-50 record this past season and missed the playoffs after reaching the postseason the previous 5 seasons. Let’s look forward and check out the team’s 2024 NBA Draft picks, future selections, and more.
Brooklyn Nets 2024 NBA Draft Picks
It was a rough 32-50 season in 2023-24 and the Nets don’t have any draft pick to show for it either. They have ZERO selections in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Brooklyn Nets Have No Picks in 2024
It’s not ideal to be a Nets fan right now as the team missed the playoffs and has no selections in the 2024 NBA Draft. That’s not the news you want to hear after going 32-50 and taking a step back after reaching the postseason in 2022-23. Brooklyn will have to make trades and moves in free agency to either gain draft picks or improve their team for 2024-25 with veteran additions.
Nets Future Draft Picks
On the bright side, the Nets do have plenty of picks to work with in the future. Most of them are unprotected too which means they will have draft capital to use to build into a potential contender in the Eastern Conference. Check out the team’s future picks.

Have the Nets Ever Had the No. 1 Pick?
The Nets have had the number-one pick twice in franchise history. In 2000, they selected Kenyon Martin from Cincinnati, and in 1990 the team selected Derrick Coleman from Syracuse. Martin spent his first four seasons in New Jersey with the Nets scoring 15.1 points and grabbing 7.6 rebounds per game. He was an All-Star in his fourth season and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting.
Derrick Coleman played 5 seasons with the Nets scoring 19.9 points per game while adding 10.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Coleman was the 1991 Rookie of the Year and made the All-NBA Third Team twice with New Jersey as well as earning an All-Star nod in 1994.
Brooklyn Nets Recent Season Results
Brooklyn has made the playoffs 5 straight seasons from 2018-2023 before going 32-50 this past year to miss the postseason. The Nets haven’t been to the Eastern Conference Finals since 2003 when they reached the NBA Finals as lost to the San Antonio Spurs.
In 2002, they also reached the NBA Finals and were beaten by the Los Angeles Lakers as LA won its third championship in a row. This is back when they were the New Jersey Nets.
The Nets have never won an NBA Championship but did win the ABA Championship in 1974 and 1976 before joining the NBA. Brooklyn thought it had assembled a potential super team with James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving in 2020-21 but never could get the entire team healthy enough to make a run at an NBA Title.
