How Many Super Bowls Have the 49ers Won?

The San Francisco 49ers have won five Super Bowls in franchise history. Quarterback Joe Montana led the 49ers to four Super Bowl wins in the 1980s with wins over the Cincinnati Bengals twice along with the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos. Steve Young helped the 49ers win the Super Bowl in the 1004 season in a dominant 49-26 win over the San Diego Chargers.

The San Francisco 49ers have appeared in eight Super Bowls in franchise history. They won their first five spanning from 1981-1994. Then, the 49ers lost appearances in 2012 to the Ravens along with 2019 and 2023 to the Chiefs.
