Just recently, former New York starting pitcher – and hardest throwing starter in MLB – Nathan Eovaldi signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The deal will reportedly pay Eovaldi $2 million in 2017 – when he’ll be rehabbing from the Tommy John surgery he received back in August – and comes with another $2 million club option for 2018.
Not a bad deal for either side.

But it’s a good thing that he got paid to play baseball again, because as much as we love Eovaldi, his acting skills aren’t quite … well, good.
Check out Eovaldi – a.k.a. Nate-Dog, a.k.a. Nasty-Nate – disguise himself as a NY beat writer at the beginning of last season, in order to get the truth out of his manager, pitching coach, and catcher:
Alright, it may have been funny, but baseball’s still the correct career choice.
