I am still not able to walk, and last night, The Wife came down with the flu. This morning, schools were closed, and our child care provider can’t come because of the weather. So our house is a one-legged dude, a flu’d up lady, a six-year-old, a four-year-old, and a one-year-old. CHALLENGE MODE ACTIVATED.
2/there's long time between now and next CBA, but 3 yrs goes quickly and I believe more PA focuses on what is mainly this lost cause offseason rather than the big picture economic issues next time is a mistake. The indicators of this tidal wave have been years coming

3/And PA did not do enough in last CBA to stop tidal wave out at sea, now it has crashed and the results this offseason are obvious. To me, PA should recognize it kicked MLBs butt in negotiations for 4 decades because were mainly on side of righteousness while being unified

4/MLB had to take all those losses and would have looked ridiculous to say, "hey you have to let us get out of all these terrible contracts" so when those terrible contracts are no longer coming, PA shouldn't whine publicly they should find counteract strategies in negotiations.

5/That said this is Manfred/MLB's problem too. Having disenchanted players and bad vibe going into spring helps no one, especially when pace of play initiatives are still a hostage to all of this. Having so many teams simultaneously tanking impacts play on the field.

6/There's crisis, but also opportunity for the 2 sides to take deep breath, walk away from rhetoric which makes both seem small and petty, and try to find ways to 1) redirect $ to younger players teams want to pay. 2) disincentivize serial tanking. 3) find ways to quicken pace
