Ah, the Cubs avoid the sweep.
By the time I had to check out for pre-Blogathon rest, Kyle Hendricks had already adjusted from the command troubles he had in the first inning, when he was throwing middle-middle pitches and totally non-competitive pitches, and that was about it. So I was feeling good.
The game was only tied 2-2, though, after homers by Ben Zobrist, Marcell Ozuna, and Anthony Rizzo. From there, and right after I checked out, looks like the Cubs got a trio of runs – with an assist from a Yairo Munoz error – to take the lead, which they did not relinquish.
