Making the OTHER Team Mad, Highlight Party, Good-Boylen, Lauri Bounces Back, and Other Bulls Bullets

Waking up after a Bulls win is quite nice.

10/10 would do again.

  • We have two whole days to bask in the glory of a Bulls victory! We really don’t know how many of these we’re going to get right now, so take advantage of the opportunity and watch these highlights on repeat.

  • In all seriousness, the Bulls played their best game of the year last night and had some extremely encouraging signs. Tomas Satoransky demonstrated why he’s clearly the Bulls starting point guard, while Lauri Markkanen showed aggressiveness and flashed his versatile skill set (17 points, five boards, four assists, three blocks). Everyone from Zach LaVine to Chandler Hutchison to (yes) even Jim Boylen had their moments, and it was a refreshing sight to see. We talked about it last night, but Boylen’s changes to the rotation and in-game substitutions finally made sense. We saw barely any Kornet and staggered starters. Not to mention, when the Bulls did go with a three-guard lineup, it was a bigger combination with Satoransky, Arcidiacono, and LaVine. Good adjustments. Good win.
  • One nice way to know you had a dominating win … the opposing head coach is HEATED in the postgame presser.
  • All right, I’m sorry, but I don’t think this was a big deal at all. While Boylen has made his fair share of questionable timeout calls already this year, the three that came in the 4th quarter of this game are the least of my worries. Normally, there hasn’t been any reasons to be on Boylen’s side this season, but if the guy wants to make substitutions and take out his starters in this situation, he has the right. Suck it up, you were losing. Anyway, NBC Sports Chicago did a little fact check on Pierce’s presser, so check it out.
  • Yeah, the Hawks coaches didn’t handle this loss with the most grace:
  • As always, The Athletic’s Darnell Mayberry had a great informative recap of last night’s game, if you want to check it out. He outlines each player’s performance quite well, and you might actually pick up some things you missed in the box score. Did you know Dunn had a season-high five of the team’s 11 steals? You love to see it.
  • Bleacher Report has the Bulls at “moderate to high” on the NBA panic meter. Do you agree? Are you panicking?
  • SATOMANIA.
  • We talked more about his career-high performance this morning, so make sure to check it out! Woohoo, positive things!
  • No tiny, lights-out shooting point guard is safe from the wrath of The Finnisher!!
  • Otto Porter was off to a great start last night (13 points, 3PT 3-4) but ended up leaving the game early due to a foot contusion. We’ll keep you updated on any new info that comes out. He’s got a couple of days to rest, so hopefully, he’s all good by Saturday’s game.
  • ZACH LAVINE WAS FEELING THAT W.

  • Neil Funk and now Tommy Edwards!? I guess everyone has had enough of this Bulls team!
  • Stop it, Boylen. Don’t make me laugh. I’m still mad at you.
