Is there a McCovey Cove Code? You know, if a home run ball enters your general sphere and you’re tracking it, then it’s yours? Like when you’re starting to parallel park and it’s clear you’ve marked your spot, and it would be HIGHLY rude of someone to swoop in and snake the spot?
Anyway, if there is such a code out in San Francisco, Dave totally just violated it, man. But it was extremely funny:

I kid about the code, because there is obviously no code. The only code is: ball in hand and it’s yours. Otherwise, no-holds-barred. (Did you catch the bird flip?)
Dave, it turns out, is something of a McCovey Cove legend. He’s out there all the time – hence the branded t-shirt and kayak – and he knows how to maximize his home run collection.
