Baltimore Ravens NFL Draft Picks in 2023

Drama has surrounded the Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson this offseason, and he recently requested to be traded. The team tendered an exclusive-rights contract to the former MVP and it’s clear Jackson wants nothing to do with it. Jackson battled injuries in 2022, however, the team finished 10-7 and made the playoffs.

Now, the focus is the 2023 NFL Draft. Here’s a look at the Ravens’ draft picks for 2023.

List of Baltimore Ravens 2023 NFL Draft Picks

The Ravens have just five picks in the draft. They do have a first-round pick at number 22 overall. Here’s a complete list of the Ravens’ draft picks for 2023.

– 1st Round: 22nd overall

– 3rd Round: 86th overall

– 4th Round: 124th overall

– 5th Round: 157th overall

– 6th Round: 199th overall

The team recently traded safety, Chuck Clark, to the New York Jets for an undisclosed draft pick. With Lamar Jackson’s status up in the air, the team has decisions to make in the draft. Jackson has missed several games in the last two years. He played 12 games in 2021 as the Ravens went 8-9 and missed the playoffs.

2023 Ravens Mock Draft and Team Needs

Even with Lamar Jackson’s status in doubt and the star QB potentially moving on, the franchise could target a receiver at the end of the first round. Wide receiver Zay Flowers from Boston College or USC’s Jordan Addison could be options. It’s unlikely there will be a QB who is ready to start that falls to the 22nd pick.

Also, they could give their secondary a boost with cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from Penn State. The Ravens drafted safety Kyle Hamilton at No. 14 in the 2022 draft. He ended up playing in 16 games for the team during the 2022 season alongside safety Marcus Williams.

It was good value for the team as the 6-foot-4 Hamilton was considered a top-10 pick by many teams. A trade also allowed the team to select offensive lineman Tyler Linderbaum with the 25th overall pick. He ended up starting 17 games at center for the team.

General manager Eric DeCosta said the team will likely be looking at edge rushers as well to help out defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald. Prospects Byron Young from Tennessee and Ochaun Mathis from Nebraska could be later-round options if still available.
