Give to Make-A-Wish, Win a Kris Bryant Shirsey (and Force Me to Blog 38 Hours Straight)

make a wish arturoThe BN Trade Deadline Blogathon fundraiser is in full swing, with your generous donations closing in on $5,000. You need to get that figure to $6,000 to force me to blog for 32 hours straight at the Trade Deadline, and then I’ll give you another hour after that for every additional $1,000 (up to 38 crazy hours).

To help spur along donations, BN’er Phil did something really awesome: he sent me three Kris Bryant Iowa Cubs shirseys – the Minor League Player of the Year edition – to give out to folks like you as part of this fundraiser.

So let’s get you some swag, eh?

Here’s how it will work: everyone who donates, or who has donated already, is eligible to win a shirsey. It’s easy, just three steps:

(1) Donate to the Make-A-Wish BN fundraiser here by tomorrow at noon CT; and

(2) Drop a comment on this post saying, “I donated!” (if you’ve already donated, you can go ahead and drop your comment now); and

(3) Be ready to shoot me an email tomorrow if I respond to your comment with a “You won!”

I’ll be selecting the three winners randomly from everyone who confirms their donation here with a comment. Make sure you’ve already donated before you leave a comment, and make sure your comment says simply “I donated!” to be included in the drawing.

Once I’ve selected the winners and informed them, they’ll email me and we can arrange to get the shirsey sent to those winners.

Thank you so much for your generosity for a great cause, and a big thanks to Phil! Much more fun to come this month.

Enhanced Box Score: Reds 3, Cubs 2 – June 7, 2024

Teaser rally. Tying run stranded. Disappointment abounds. Justin Steele pitched quite well, and with a little defense, his line would look even better. It's nice to see him clicking again, though it doesn't much matter when the bats do next...
