I don’t know much about life, but I do know a few universal truths:
- Grass is green.
- The sky is blue.
- Pizza is good … and so are The Beatles.
Those are the three (and a half) things I can say with almost total confidence (that rectangle cafeteria pizza from high school really mucks things up).
And baseball is similar. There’s not much I *know* for sure about this crazy sport, but there are a few things …
- Aroldis Chapman throws the ball HARD.
- Giancarlo Stanton hits the ball HARDER.
- Kevin Kiermaier makes AMAZING catches.
All three of those things are things I KNOW to be true. We were reminded of the last one just last night:
There's an OUTLAW on the loose and his name is @KKiermaier39!#RaysUp pic.twitter.com/5jERAoAeyk

Kiermaier is inarguably the best defensive center fielder of our generation. Consider that since 2014 when he started playing full-time, his seventy-one (71!) defensive runs saved is the most by any center fielder by TWENTY-SEVEN (27!) runs.
In fact, his 71 DRS is the best in baseball over that stretch, including all position players. Dude just knows how to put leather on the ball.
Oh, and it’s his birthday today!.
Happy birthday, KK! pic.twitter.com/Je0LSQDfsu
