Although we are living in the era of Vlad Guerrero Jr., it was his poppa who came first, hit everything, and wound up in the Hall of Fame.
And almost as though to remind his son, if not all of the rest of us, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., 47, wanted to show folks that he could still hit a monster shot – even if only for fun:

That’s a legend right there (bonus points for wearing the Expos jersey and number). We can presume that one went 400+, and we can call it homer 450 for his career. And it’s not just that he hit a monster bomb at his age, it’s that he STOOD THERE ADMIRING IT in a simple fun hometown game in the Dominican Republic. That is, indeed, how you have some fun.
I mean, the guy stands there, unmoving, for a full five seconds before starting his trot. Was that the umpire letting him know it was time to jog? This is a Hall of Famer! Let the man get to six seconds if he wants!
