After last night’s debacle, you’d like to HOPE that nothing could surprise you today.
Moreover, Week 5 has always looked like a reasonable target for Mitch Trubisky to take over as the starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears, given the schedule.
Moreover moreover, head coach John Fox left open the possibility of a change in his post-game comments.
So we shouldn’t be surprised by this report:
Getting flooded with texts that Trubisky is expected to be named #Bears starter.

Again, this is what *should* happen. But until the Bears actually pull the trigger and make it happen, I’ll be holding my breath a little bit.
We’ll keep watching the tea leaves.
One clue today, as I published this post:

Q: To be clear, is Mike Glennon still starting QB?
Fox: "Again, I'm not really trying to be clear. Actually probably quite the opposite."— Dan Wiederer (@danwiederer) September 29, 2017
Holding back today, rather that staying committed to Mike Glennon, at a minimum strongly suggests that a possible change is on the table. Previously, Fox has not avoided the opportunity to publicly commit to Glennon.
