The Chicago Bears’ offensive line situation entering Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns is far from settled, but at least some depth help is on the way:
#Bears promote OL Brandon Greene, an undrafted rookie free agent from Alabama, to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. S Chris Prosinski, who suffered a concussion last week and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs #Browns, has been placed on injured reserve.

Offensive lineman Brandon Greene has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. The Bears plucked Greene back in early August after fellow offensive lineman Eric Kush was placed on injured reserve with a season-ending hamstring injury. Greene played his college ball at Alabama, where he spent time on both sides of the line (offensive and defensive) and played a role as a blocking tight end.
A pair of starting offensive linemen have their gameday status as up in the air. Left guard Josh Sitton is doubtful with an ankle surgery, while right guard Tom Compton is questionable with a concussion. If either misses the game, the Bears’ offensive line will be shuffled with the likes of Hroniss Grasu and Bradley Sowell in line for extended playing time.
Prosinski was a late addition to the roster because of the team’s thinning depth at safety. But with Adrian Amos returning from a hamstring injury, there was no reason to rush him back after being placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Prosinski played a handful of plays before leaving the Week 15 loss to the Detroit Lions with a concussion.
