Clearly, the Bears have put it all together, combining an aggressive defensive that is brutally efficient against both the run and pass, together with an offense that is patient, consistent, methodical, with an athletic quarterback. They are ready.
… or they were just playing the 0-15 Browns.
The truth is likely somewhere in the middle, but it’s better to look really good against a terrible team than to look like you’re playing a not-all-that-inferior opponent. And then you get to make snow angels!
The conditions were not great at Soldier Field today, and I don’t want to act like the Bears’ offense sliced and diced the Browns. It was more of a plodding offense, punctuated by periodic big plays. The defense, by contrast, didn’t let the Browns do much of anything, and when they did move the ball, the Bears ultimately took it away.
With the win, the Bears moved to 4-0 against the AFC North:
