The Chicago Bears will probably be without one of their top tight ends for the rest of the game:
#Bears are calling it an ankle injury for Shaheen. Doubtful to return.

Adam Shaheen suffered an ankle injury and limped off the field after making a catch in the first quarter of the team’s second preseason game against the Denver Broncos. The cart was called to take him into the locker room, which is not what anyone wanted to see.
Shaheen’s long-term prognosis isn’t going to be known right away, but it’s not imperative that he jumps back into action right away. So while Shaheen is listed as doubtful to return, it’s safe to presume the second-year tight end will miss the rest of this game. We’ll continue to monitor the situation as more news and information becomes available.
Shaheen looked good during the Bears’ preseason contest against the Cincinnati Bengals and reportedly had a strong showing during the joint practices between the Bears and Broncos. In short, losing Shaheen flat out stinks for an offensive unit looking for its footing and for a player who had a lot to prove and figured to have a significant role in the offense.
