Watching another slow start for the Chicago Bears offense was troubling in the first quarter, but winning the field position battle and being the beneficiary of a senseless penalty helped the team get off the deck with this Jordan Howard touchdown run:

Ah, yes. The throwback-style offense Chris Myers referenced in his pre-game show. Chicago didn’t have far to go after starting its drive in Bills territory, but penalties forced Mitch Trubisky to make something out of nothing … which he did.
This 3rd-and-15 conversion put the Bears in the red zone and in scoring range:

That 26-yard dime from Trubisky to Trey Burton when the Bears needed to get back into scoring range was an early clutch throw. The Bears will need more of those if they’re going to create separation against a Bills team that is holding its own on its home turf.
