The Chicago Bears fell into an early hole, but leave it to Mitch Trubisky and Anthony Miller to shake things up.

Facing a 3rd-and-goal late in the second quarter, Trubisky rolled to his left and delivered a strike to Miller for the game’s first touchdown. After falling behind by six points because of a pair of Robbie Gould field goals (of course!) the Bears needed that touchdown (and extra point from Cody Parkey) in the worst way. It was Miller’s first touchdown reception since the infamous “Oompa Loompa” play against the New York Giants.
Trubisky is 9 of 12 for 137 yards, a touchdown, and a 139.9 passer rating. He also has a fumble that led to three points and a near interception that came a few plays before the touchdown throw. This has been a mixed bag for the Bears and their quarterback through one half of football.
It’s been a sluggish game for the Bears, who committed a turnover and missed an easy field goal and are not looking like a team still playing for something more than a No. 3 seed. But if this keeps up, that’s not happening. We’ll see what happens in the second half as San Francisco heads into the break with a 9-7 lead and will get the ball to start the second half.
