The Bears released their final injury report of the week on Friday, and it features a handful of players who had not been on it previously.

Tight end Trey Burton (groin), wide receiver Taylor Gabriel (shin), safety Eddie Jackson (hamstring), and defensive lineman Bilal Nichols (knee) were all listed as limited participants in Friday’s practice. But in previous injury reports released on Wednesday and Thursday, none of those aforementioned players were listed. However, this isn’t a major cause for concern.
Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic tweets Burton, Gabriel, and Jackson were limited in Friday’s practice because the Bears had just practiced indoors on turf for three consecutive days. As for Nichols, he never practices indoors on turf on Fridays. In short, the four limited participants were designated for maintenance days and were held back a bit for precautionary reasons. Burton, Gabriel, Jackson, and Nichols are expected to play, but outside linebacker Isaiah Irving will miss the game due to an injured quad.
Irving was limited to a handful of snaps in the Bears’ Sunday loss to the Chargers after suffering an in-game quad injury. The issue has been bad enough to keep him from practicing this week. We will continue to monitor his progress over the next few weeks.
