The Chicago Bears’ defense is one step closer to being fully operational.
#Bears DL Akiem Hicks was back at practice today for the team's walk through.

Zack Pearson of Bear Report tweets that defensive lineman Akiem Hicks returned to practice on Thursday. It was a “light’ practice with the Bears going through a walk-through. Nevertheless, it’s a step in the right direction for one of Chicago’s most important players.
Hicks has been sidelined for 13 days because of a quad injury suffered in late August. Bears Head Coach Matt Nagy never seemed too concern about Hicks’ long-term injury status. And yet, part of me was a bit bothered by the idea of Hicks having missing an extended amount of practice time.
In the end, Hicks’ participation in Thursday’s walk-through still represents a positive development. And with the season-opener coming in 10 days, the Bears will certainly take whatever positive news they can get from the injury front.
