Kellen Mond, Texas A&M

Senior Bowl executive Jim Nagy tweets the Bears are among the teams with a quarterbacks coach or offensive coordinator in attendance to see Kellen Mond in College Station, Texas. And with good reason, as the Texas A&M standout is one of the most unique prospects in this class.
Mond was a four-year starter at Texas A&M who performed as a dual-threat signal caller. He finished with 9,661 passing yards, 71 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions while adding 1,609 rushing yards and 22 ground scores. I’m unsure which is Mond’s most impressive season. As a sophomore in 2018, Mond threw for 3,107 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just 9 interceptions. And for good measure, he added 474 rushing yards and 7 ground scores. Mond never eclipsed 3,000 passing yards again, but throwing 19 touchdowns against just 3 interceptions while completing a career best 63.3 percent of his throws is fine work. Doing that while averaging a career-best 7.7 yards per attempt is pretty neat, too.
Mac Jones, Alabama
This is the second time in as many weeks the Bears are seeing Mac Jones in person. And this time, it’s worth noting that GM Ryan Pace was in attendance:

I don’t have X-Ray vision (net yet, anyway), but I don’t need it to see that Pace is straight cheesin’ under his mask.
Jones confirmed his formal meeting with the Bears, adding it went “great.” That’s refreshing.
Justin Fields, Ohio State

All things considered, that the Bears have their GM, head coach, QBs Coach, offensive coordinator, and a potential GM-in-waiting out looking at quarterbacks today says … SOMETHING. What? I’m not quite sure. But it’s not as if they’re ignoring the situation at hand.
