The Packers lined up with a 1st-and-goal from the 8-yard-line late in the fourth quarter with an opportunity to tie last January’s NFC Championship Game against the Buccaneers. But Aaron Rodgers threw three incompletions, then Head Coach Matt LaFleur sent the field goal unit out to trim the lead. And while successful in cutting the lead to five, Rodgers and the Packers never got the ball back. From there, the Bucs won the game, the Halas Trophy, and eventually the Super Bowl.
And one man hasn’t forgotten that moment:
Early look: a contestant’s answer during Final Jeopardy: “Who decided to kick that field goal?”
Aaron Rodgers takes it in stride: “That is a great question.”

Credit Rodgers for laughing along and adding: “That is a great question. It should be correct, but unfortunately, for this game today, that’s incorrect.” But your coach probably shoulda gone for it. Sucker!
