They’re baaaaaaack!
The bye week is over. And the Chicago Bears are back in the saddle.
No, that 3-10 record isn’t much to write home about. And that the NFC’s top team is flying into town means there is no soft landing for these Bears. But who wants a soft landing?
Today’s game against the Eagles represents the start of a four-game stretch in which the Bears play three games against division leaders — and the fourth game is against a team angling to make a last-gasp run at the playoffs. Yes, the Lions are trying to run down a postseason berth. Good on them, I guess. Setting standards starts somewhere.
In any case, many of these Bears have something to prove. These final four games might be callousing, but it could also serve as a springboard for some players as they try to end this year on a high note.
